This was a project done in AS3/Flash and exported as AIR for Reeves Financial. They wanted a digital sign solution that required little work to update, and provided valuable information on the go for their customers and representatives. This sign pulls in Yahoo Weather data, Yahoo Finance data and two RSS news feeds and displays the information. The News section also features a dynamically generating QR code that will link the scanning user to the article on their mobile device. The QR code is based on a bit.ly shortened version of the source URL, as shorter links create cleaner QR codes. Representatives are able to update the Assets Managed section with a simple XML file.
